DJ Cuppy, the Nigerian music producer and Disc Jockey, recently spoke about her feelings regarding her failed engagement to British boxer, Ryan Taylor. She expressed that life is filled with both ups and downs, regardless of one's background. Despite her privileged upbringing, she emphasized that her life has been unpredictable.
During the Wimbiz London Conference, DJ Cuppy openly discussed her breakup with her fiancé, her unsuccessful jewelry business, and her struggles with academic pursuits at Oxford University. She mentioned that she is accepting of the uncertainties that life brings, as there is strength in facing failures and uncertainties. She also highlighted that even the most successful women experience setbacks.
Reflecting on her own experiences, the billionaire heiress shared how her jewelry line, which she established at the age of 28, failed. She also mentioned her academic challenges at Oxford University and the failure of her relationship.
In December 2022, DJ Cuppy announced her engagement to Ryan Taylor, which took place at the Gumball Award night in Abu Dhabi.
She said:
“Failure is inevitable. We will all have failures in our personal lives and in our professional lives. Now I can stand here and tell you how unpredictable my life has been despite being from a privileged background. Whether it’s my failed jewellery line which I did at 28 years old or going to the University of Oxford at 29 and almost failing class.
“Last year, I got engaged and I’m no longer engaged but such is life and I know my story is still happening and there’s more to come and I’m okay with the uncertainty”.
