President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's health status has been addressed by the Presidency, revealing that he is currently recovering from a knee surgery he underwent in London.
Mr Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, shared this information during an interview with the Nigerian Tribune. It should be noted that Tinubu underwent the knee surgery in 2021, prior to the commencement of the general election campaign. He spent nearly three months in London before returning to Nigeria on October 8, 2021. During his time in the UK, he received visits from then-President Muhammadu Buhari, Femi Gbajabiamila (now Chief of Staff to the President), and others.
When asked about the President's health, Onanuga clarified that aside from the knee surgery, the President does not have any other health issues and is currently in the process of recovery.
President Bola Tinubu, in his address at the 10th German-Nigerian Business Forum in Berlin, Germany, emphasized his qualifications for the presidency. He highlighted his achievements as the governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007, where he successfully transformed the state into the fifth largest economy on the African continent.
Tinubu, who hails from a private sector background and has experience working with Deloitte and Exxon Mobil, expressed his commitment to corporate governance. He urged those who may have concerns or doubts to take inspiration from his journey and recognize his ability to overcome obstacles.

These recent agreements signed between Nigerian and German companies in Berlin only serve to reinforce my commitment to progress and development.
