I Was a Bedbug Seller And a Dry Cleaner Earning N15,000 Before My Skits Blow Me - Comedian Brain Jotter

Nigerian comedian Brain Jotter has shared his inspiring journey to fame and revealed how he used to earn a monthly salary of N15,000 about three years ago. The 28-year-old, whose real name is Chukwuebuka Emmanuel, disclosed that during that time, he worked as a laundry man.

"In 2020, I was earning 15k as my salary. However, by 2021, it had doubled to 30k," he revealed in an interview with HipTv.

Recalling his job in 2020, he explained, "I was working in a laundry after just gaining admission. Alongside my laundry job, I also explored various other business opportunities."

Interestingly, Brain Jotter's entrepreneurial spirit began even before he graduated. In his first year, he sold doughnuts to his classmates. In his second year, he sold bedbug killer at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), and in his third year, he started driving to school.

Despite gaining fame through his skits, Brain Jotter remains determined and continues to work hard. He is not resting on his laurels and is constantly seeking new opportunities to grow and succeed.

“Ever since my video went viral, I can’t go five days without working. I’ve been restless from that day until now,” he said.

“This restlessness and the experience of earning little money have taught me how to appreciate the value of my purchases,” Brain Jotter maintained.

With these lessons from a humble beginning, Chukwuebuka has a piece of advice for fans and people generally.

“We need to be careful about the dreams we ask God for because back then, my dream was to rent a self-contained apartment and own a tricycle for carrying passengers,” he said.

Brain Jotter’s breakthrough came in 2020 when he started sharing short comedy skits on Instagram.
