We Never Arrested Or Detained Mohbad - NDLEA

A spokesperson for the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA has said the agency never arrested or detained the late singer Mohbad.

In February 2022, it was widely reported  that the Drug Enforcement Administration raided the Idado mansion of artists signed under the Marlian label and arrested six people, including Zinolesky and Mohbad. According to the agency, Cannabis sativa and Molly were found in the apartment and in the car

Earlier today, the agency was accused of poisoning Mohbad during the alleged ‘arrest’ after a video of him on a hospital bed saying he was accused of abusing drugs and forced to drink a substance in a bottle surfaced online. Some Nigerians alleged the deceased singer might have been poisoned during the ‘’arrest” by NDLEA operatives

However in a post shared on his X handle on Saturday night, September 16, Babafemi said Mohbad was never arrested. He shared a newslink where a source in the agency reeled out names of persons that were arrested and Mohbad’s name was not included.

However, sources familiar with the matter have says that Mohbad was never detained in the NDLEA case.

The source listed the names of all six suspects arrested at the time, none of which is Mohbad, who was born Ilerioluwa Oladimeji.
