"Tips" produced by M.O.G. of Ghana Beatz is the third single from The Evil Genius, which will be released on October 27, 2023. The 16-track album shows a whole new side of Mr Eazi aka Banku Lord.
He recorded "Advice" in dark and dirty tones during a particularly difficult time in his life, when he saw some of his longest-lasting relationships crumble under the weight of success. "When you first come out, everyone falls in love with you," says Mr Eazi. "So they want to let you go. People will let you go. If you can survive this stage, you are untouchable. But this is the most difficult step."
The lyrically dense title of "The Counselor" examines several African martyrs, including former DRC president Joseph Kabila and Ken Saro-Wiwa, a Nigerian writer and activist whose hanging in 1995 sparked domestic and international outrage. "I came from a place where I had that energy," Eazi says.
