DJ Cuppy Gets Excited As She Meets Asake For The First Time, Concluded on Being His Backup Singer

Popular Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, got starstruck around Afrobeats star Asake, while meeting him for the first time.

Taking to her verified X (formerly Twitter) page Tuesday afternoon, September 12, DJ Cuppy, shared a short video of her meeting the 2023 Headies’ Next Rated winner, Asake.

As seen in the video, the DJ was playing at an event when Asake entered and came to her set. Upon seeing the singer, she screamed in surprise, and opened her arms for a hug.

After they hugged and exchanged pleasantries, Asake was about to leave, but she called him back and asked they take pictures together.

In the caption of the post, DJ Cuppy, who was left starstruck, revealed that it was her first time of meeting Asake ‘in real life.’ She added that she was finally ‘able’ to discuss her desire to be Asake’s backup singer with him.
