A policeman was killed in Isiokolo, headquarters of Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State on Thursday evening, August 2
, after a policeman attacked the Isiokolo Divisional Police Station.
Another policeman was injured in the attack by armed men on motorcycles.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident, adding that the injured officer is receiving treatment at a public hospital.
Said Edafe;
"No police rifle was stolen from the station. Some people were shot at the station, one officer died and another was taken to the hospital."
